MSD Bio Solids, Louisville, KY
The Alternative Solids Project design included the removal of existing sludge dewatering equipment, incineration equipment, and Zimpro sludge processing equipment. The new installation included five (5) dewatering centrifuges and four (4) sludge dryer trains designed to produce dry palletized product. Also included where replacement covers on existing digesters, new mixing equipment in decant tanks, miscellaneous structural supports, and construction of a permanent manager’s office. |

Louisville Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Kennedy Interchange, Louisville, KY
KHAFRA provided design services for The Louisville Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Kennedy Interchange project which consisted of the reconfiguration of I-71, I-64, and I-65 bridge interchange (spaghetti junction) by refurbishing and constructing a total of 73 bridges, 33 retaining wall and several infrastructures upgrades, including street widening, resurfacing , striping, and many other tasks. |

KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, KY
The KFC Yum! Center is home to the University of Louisville women’s and men’s basketball programs. Owned by the Louisville Arena Authority, the facility seats 22,000 for basketball and is equipped for multiple purposes including hockey and skating programs, various other NCAA indoor sports, music and other entertainment events in either center-stage or end-stage arrangement, and other large assembly purposes. KHAFRA was involved throughout the design and construction of this $238 million facility and provided Electrical engineering for both the 22,000 seat arena and the connected three-level underground parking garage. In addition, provided engineering for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Security for the fully-ventilated underground parking garage. |
