VALENTINO T. BATES, PE, Principal
As a principal owner, Mr. Bates specializes in the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment plant processes and civil site work. His most recent work includes development of the capital cost expenditure plans for the Clean Water Program for the City of Atlanta and the Fulton County Water and Sewer Improvement Program. Mr. Bates is a value engineering (VE) specialist, experienced in the engineering process and has conducted several 24 to 40 hour VE assessments for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Transit Authority (MARTA), and the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District.
BRANDON HEWITT, PE, LEED AP, Principal
As a principal owner, Mr. Hewitt serves as an experienced structural engineer and Project Manager. As a Structural Engineer, Mr. Hewitt provides structural design expertise for a variety of projects. He has worked extensively with the four basic structural materials: concrete, steel, wood, and masonry. Mr. Hewitt has designed a variety of both above-ground and below-ground structures throughout the United States, and has extensive municipal and commercial experience. Mr. Hewitt’s municipal work includes all phases of the design and construction of both water and wastewater treatment facilities. He has designed environmental treatment facilities throughout the United States.
WAYMON E. JONES, Principal
Mr. Jones has over 40 years of experience with engineering design, construction management and operations, maintenance and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities. He has spent 13 years of his career providing maintenance management and the overall operations for a major regional treatment system serving municipal and industrial client in the Fulton County and North Atlanta area.
MICHAEL LEUNG, PE, Principal
Mr. Leung serves as Principal and Project Manager responsible for the administration and technical aspects of various major multi-discipline projects. He was involved in developing the capital expenditure programs brought about by Regulatory Constraints for Phosphorus in the City of Atlanta, and Fulton County Georgia. Mr. Leung’s work became the backbone for Atlanta and Fulton County Water and Sewer Rate Studies.
CHARLES W. RAINE, AIA, Principal
Mr. Raine’s career spans over 30 years and has included a broad spectrum of professional experience as a college professor and as a practitioner of architecture. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Raine practiced independently as an architect, served in an executive position with an architectural firm, served as Architect and Project Manager with a major university, and served as Professor and Associate Dean/Department Head of Architecture at Tuskegee University. Mr. Raine has a wide range of experience in project types including community planning, educational, residential, institutional, cultural, office and church facilities. He has served both private and public sector clients, and he has expertise in new and renovation projects.
ELIAS ZEWDE, PE, Principal
Mr. Zewde is a principal owner responsible for the firm’s water resources development program and heads engagements on all international projects. He has more than 30 years of engineering, environmental studies, investigation experience and oversees projects involving process design, studies, evaluation and contaminant assessment of groundwater resources. He has conducted numerous environmental site audits and assessments. Project management and engineering experience of Mr. Zewde includes hydrological assessment of industrial sites.
